Quick answer

The garden is on Rue Yves Saint Laurent in Guéliz, a different district from Marrakesh's old medina. The Yves Saint Laurent Museum stands a stone's throw away. There is no meeting point, so have your QR codes and a passport or ID card ready at the entrance. This guide gives no fares or times, because they change.

Where it is

The garden's address is Rue Yves Saint Laurent, 40090 Marrakech. Wikipedia places it in Guéliz, one of the five arrondissements it lists for Marrakesh, alongside Marrakech-Médina. The garden is not part of the old walled city. Wikipedia describes that old city as the medina quarter, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that contains the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, a large number of souks and the Kutubiyya Mosque.

The next-door museum

The Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech says on its own website that it stands a stone's throw from the garden. Both are reached from the same street, Rue Yves Saint Laurent. The two have separate entrances and separate tickets, so check which one your QR codes are for before you join a line. The garden-only ticket does not include the museum, and the museum's website lists its own opening days and its own bookshop and café, so you can treat it as a separate stop on the same street.

Choosing how to travel

This guide gives no taxi fares, bus numbers or walking times, because they change. Put the address into a map app, show it to a taxi driver, or ask your hotel to arrange a car. Wikipedia describes the medina as the old fortified city that contains the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, and it places the garden in Guéliz, so expect to leave the medina to reach it. Read the start time in your confirmation, set out with a margin, and keep your QR codes and your passport or ID card within reach as you travel.

At the entrance

There is no meeting point for the garden ticket, and you enter on your own. Have your QR codes on your phone and a passport or an ID card ready, because the booking page lists ID under what to bring. Children under 10 need a valid ID card to enter free, with an adult. Luggage and large bags are not allowed in, so leave them at your hotel.

Timing your arrival

Your booking is for a time slot, and the booking page says the entrance time may be adjusted 30 minutes earlier or later than the one you requested. It also warns of longer waits in peak seasons, and one reviewer reports long lines even with a reserved ticket. Arrive a little before your slot, and read the start times in your confirmation and in the email that carries your QR codes the day before.

Who this isn't for

If you want door-to-door transport arranged for you, this is the wrong ticket: the booking page says there is no meeting point and that you enter the garden on your own. Arrange your own way there and treat the ticket as entry only. If you need a guide to explain the garden, plan one separately, because the garden-only ticket comes with none, and keep in mind that the booking page lists the visit at about one hour.
